Onze schaaktalenten Casper Schoppen en Joris Kokje hopen in oktober Nederland te vertegenwoordigen tijdens het Europees Kampioenschap in Batiumi (Georgi\u00eb)
\nNaar verwachting zullen ruim 1.000 schakers uit ongeveer 45 Europese landen hun opwachting maken. Er zullen in Batumi 12 Europese schaaktitels worden verdeeld: zowel voor de jongens als de meisjes in de leeftijdscategorie\u00ebn tot en met 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 en 18 jaar. Het EJK begint op 19 oktober en eindigt op 28 oktober. Er wordt dagelijks een ronde gespeeld, behalve op de rustdag 24 oktober.
